I know something about keeping my love life sexy! I’ve been happily married for 10 years to my 3^rd husband. I’ve learned from my mistakes and my experiences. This time around I’ve kept the sexy going strong. Many women ask me my secrets…so here they are.

First of all wear something sexy to bed. Find out the type of sleepwear that turns your husband on and wear it! If he likes see-thru, great. If he likes satin, great. If he likes lace, great. Ban the flannel pajamas unless he loves them on you.

Then find out what he wants you to wear for sex. Is it high heels in bed? Is it a bustier or garter belts? Is it a certain color or stockings? Oil all over your skin? Whatever he likes is fine. Don’t judge it; just do it! The bedroom should be a source of mutual pleasure and exploration.

There are no taboos in the privacy of your bedroom. As long as two adults are mutually consenting and wanting to please one another, that’s all that matters.

One of my biggest secrets aside from dressing the part and being eager to please is to “change things up”. Don’t be predictable. Don’t always do the same thing. Try out new things and see how he responds. Read books, watch adult movies, get counseling…add to your arsenal.

Oh and one of my other secrets? Always wash up before going to bed. Be clean from head to toe and smell good enough to eat! Be hair free wherever he likes you to be. Be manicured and pedicured (yes, even in the winter) with skin that is ever so soft to the touch. Do you have to buff and polish your skin all over? You bet you do. Do you have to slather your body with lovely lotions? Damn right.

The other secret is to wear a scent or perfume that drives him mad. Never ever wear a scent he doesn’t like. The sense of smell is a powerful memory inducing aphrodisiac.

Last, but not least, wear beautiful sexy lingerie every day. Let him see what you have on BEFORE he leaves for work. He’ll think about those bra and panties all day long and be raring to go that night.

My final best kept secret is this: pleasure him even when you don’t feel like having sex. Do it with a smile and with passion. It will be a treat he will love you for. Then pat him while you bounce out of bed and say, “I love you.”

When I refer to “him”, I mean your significant other, partner, or spouse. I don’t care whether you’re gay or straight. Being smart about your sex life and keeping the “sassy” going applies to anyone.

Valentine’s Day can be all year long if you put the extra effort in to show you care.

Think of yourself as his “little blue pill”: stimulating, fun, and always ready.

On Valentine’s Day, most people are concerned with the love they are expecting to get, but they forget the important love they can give… the gift of self-love.

When you love yourself deeply many magical things start to happen: in yourself and in your relationships. Loving yourself helps you to love others more deeply. Also, when you fall in love with yourself you are so much more attractive to others. After all, everything in our lives is a mirror of what we have inside of ourselves. So the more positive qualities and energy we have inside of us, the more of that we have to give.

When you love yourself, you let go of judging yourself and you learn to forgive yourself. To the degree you do that, you are more quickly able to forgive the ones you love and see the divine essence inside of them. They will feel that loving warm energy and respond in more positive ways than you can ever imagine.

Another side effect of self-love is that you will take better care of yourself. You will care more about how you look and how you dress/groom. Taking good care of yourself is an immediate reflection of your feelings of self-worth.

This Valentine’s Day, I suggest you treat yourself to some extra pampering. Groom as if you were going on a first date.  Buy that new lingerie you’ve been wanting. Treat yourself to a mani/pedi. Or get that luxurious perfume. Give yourself something sensual and fabulous. You deserve it.  Do things for yourself that make you feel loved and remove that job from your significant other: allowing them to fall more in love with the YOU that you love.

For your special Valentine’s date, wear something alluring, especially from the waist up. The focal point of your outfit will be viewed at the dinner table, so put the extra finishes where they’ll be seen the most. Fabulous sexy shoes are great, but you must create visual interest at the neckline or near the face.

Let Valentine’s Day 2013 be the day you celebrate LOVE: in yourself, your partner, your children, your family and your friends. Be grateful and take time to tell them all how much you care. Tell all the helpful people in your life how much you appreciate them. An attitude of gratitude can uplift even the weariest heart.

Fall in love with yourself and let your beauty, joy and love shine to the world. Live this day with passion and allow your deepest desires to be the life force behind all that you do. Feel passion and desire pulsing through your as the electricity of your being elevates your soul.

We can expect to see lots of facial hair on male celebs at The Oscars. A huge resurgence in popularity began with scruffy regrowth has now evolved into full on beards, mustaches, goatees, soul patches, mutton chops and more. I credit this trend to the 70′s flashback in fashion, when large sideburns, beards and mustaches reigned supreme.

Facial hair takes work to look neat and groomed. It’s all about the “edge” to keep it looking strong and sexy. Full thick facial hair looks more vintage.

Men can make a big fashion statement with facial hair which is great since they have less hairstyle options than women. They can look more worldly, hip, rocker or glam just by adding the right facial hair.

Male celebs are sporting hairstyles with height above the forehead and close trimmed sides. Most are opting for short hair with their facial hair. Fastidious grooming and impeccably tailored tuxedos complete a very sexy masculine style.

   The Brad Pitt: Long scruffy goatee or long straggly beard.  Hillbilly meets aging-hippie: A great way to ruin your handsome edge. Not suggested for men like Brad with pretty boy looks. Good for men with rugged features and uneven skin tone. Wear with a classic tux and evening tie. No bowties under the beard please.

Goes well with a classic tux and medium width lapels. For a more hipster look, trim the beard super short like a five day shadow.

   The Hugh Jackman: Manly classic mustache and goatee. Looks great with any style tux from classic lapels to shawl collar: bowtie or dress tie. Hair with height on top and closer sides compliment and balance the visual weight of the goatee/stash.

Harper’s Bazaar heralds Spring 2013 as the “end of reality show couture”! High maintenance outfits seem as passé as Kim Kardasian according to HB. I believe that this new year brings with it a new relaxed style that has many silhouettes of the 80’s, fabrics and cuts from the 90’s with a 70’s Boho ease. Anything, including hair, that looks like it’s trying too hard is out. Pants take on a looser silhouette, as heels get sturdier, and constrictions loosen.

1. 90’s Denim: thin to thick, pale chambray to dark unwashed. Denim in every shade and texture. Denim blouses, dresses, jackets, and jeans. Denim on denim.
2. Knee grazing pants: loose higher waisted pant, worn just below the knee.

8. Over done African: a hint is nice, but full on bold African seems.too costumey now.

This show about high school students from the posh Upper East Side of NY has some of the best fashions seen on TV. They dress the way any fashionable person would want to dress, especially Blake Lively who is the quintessential “fashion diva” and one of the best dressed celebs ever.

2.Hart of Dixie: Casual Trendy Style at It’s Best

Rachel Bilson portrays a young beautiful and smart medical doctor dressed the way we wished all female physicians would dress. She is an absolute trendsetter with her casual, yet chic easy breezy effortless style: proving that even in a small town, a girl can wear “big city” style.

3.Mad Men: The Best in Wearable Retro Glamour

Capturing the 1950’s and 60’s in the most fashion accurate way ever seen in a modern TV series. Jeannie Bryant, the fashion designer has affected fashion more than any other since Sex and The City. 6.The Real Housewives Shows: Over-The-Top Glam & Excess   

Although all the real housewives look over injected, over bleached, and over stuffed into their push up bras and clothes, they make for really fun viewing.  All of the RH shows feature glamour that matches all of the stars over-the-top lifestyles, daily drama, and rich girl problems.

7.Lipstick Jungle: Urban Professional Glam and Chic

Brooke Shields stars in this show about urban professionals. The styles and fashions are elegant, chic and very pulled together. A must see for any person who wants to know how to look their best in business. Looking polished like a glossy lipstick in the biz world can never hurt.

8.Project Runway: A Glimpse Into The Design Process

Heidi Klum, supermodel and host wears amazing fashion as new even more amazing fashions are designed by up and coming aspiring designers. From fantasy to fabulous, fashion in every possible genre.  America’s fascination with new and outrageous, fresh and modern is surely sated with this fun reality show.

9.Downton Abbey: Very Vintage Elegance and Class

The height of “vintage” glamour; this mini-series authentic replications of fashions from the early 1900’s and beyond are breathtaking and fascinating. Much of what we wear today is based on these vintage influences, a beautiful glimpse into the lost art of elegant dressing.

This fall winter season, men’s retro glamour continues with a vengeance! Fitted and sleek silhouettes, complimented by shorter pant lengths, socks and ankles showing, lean and mean, gentlemanly and all that jazz.

Fall 2012 men’s fashion trends have much to offer and no man can afford to ignore its importance. The baggy, sloppy looks of the past seem totally dated and out-of-place.

Here’s a list of my favorite trends for men. You decide how many to choose based on your lifestyle, comfort zone, occupation, hobbies and fashion type. Choose whichever you like, but choose!! Time to go do some serious shopping. This is the best season for men I’ve seen in years:

Black Friday, the biggest sale shopping day of the year is almost upon us. Most people rush to buy the best “deals” they can find. Unfortunately, most people don’t know how to be a savvy sale shopper and get the most for their money. So here’s my Eve Michaels Crash Course for Super Sale Shopping.

First of all study up fast on the fall/winter trends (see my women and men’s fashion trend reports). Know which trends you want to add to your wardrobe. Next, make a shopping list. Impulse shopping is a bad idea during Black Friday sale events. It’s too easy to get caught up in the shopping, grabbing frenzy. Lists help you to stay focused. Take stock of what you already own and what is missing from your wardrobe to update your image.

It is extremely helpful to know your most flattering color choices, your facial shape, body proportions, and which fabrics you resonate to. If you have no clue about these important elements of what makes you special, I highly suggest that you download my new book, Dress Code: Ending Fashion Anarchy and read the “how to” sections. I believe that it’s best to focus on buying the following during sales:

1. Classics, in good fabrics that fit you well
2. Trends that will have longevity such as pea coats, slim suitings, feminine blouses, etc.
3. Items that can be worn year round
4. Seasonal fall/winter pieces that you really need, like a great winter coat.

Be certain you buy fun super trendy pieces on big markdowns… knowing you probably won’t wear them for more than a year or so.

I also like to take advantage of BF to buy the new up and coming fashion trend pieces that the masses haven’t caught on to yet. I’ll end up wearing those items for years and get loads of compliments on them. My students know what I mean!

Of course, a great BF shopper hits the sales at the crack of dawn to get the “extra percentages and deep additional discounts”. It’s really worth losing a few hours of sleep! Those extra discount hours are amazing and well worth the effort.

It’s crucial to wear  comfortable clothes, great fitting under garments, and be well groomed (women: makeup on, hair pretty, nice shoes in your shopping tote) (men: shaved, hair well styled and dress shoes or nice casual shoes with you). It’s much easier to envision the “total look” when you shop looking pulled together. Plus studies show you’ll get treated better by sales associates.

Oh, and have a budget in mind! Look at the “cost per wearing formula” in my book to understand the true value an item has in your wardrobe and which items warrant spending more money on. Basically, you divide the cost of the item by how many times a month you’ll wear it and then by the number of years you think you’ll use it. This helps you gain perspective quickly on where to focus your expenditures.

Don’t forget to bring water and a protein bar. Sale shopping takes a lot of energy. You don’t want to get faint or dizzy.

Most importantly, don’t ever buy anything that you wouldn’t pay full price for, if you could afford the full price. Never ever buy anything just because it’s cheap! Cheap mistakes add up and end up collecting dust in your closet. It’s always better to by quality over quantity. Quality lasts and speaks volumes about you being a person of quality.

Lastly, enjoy Black Friday by targeting the stores that carry clothes you really like. Preview those stores ahead of time if you possibly can! Knowing where everything is will help you grab the best buys! After all, on Black Friday, speed is of the essence!

This fall/winter season there seem to be more trends than ever, which can be very confusing. Just deciding which ones to incorporate into your existing wardrobe can be a daunting task. I highly suggest you study this trend list and then make a list of your favorites and shop with a plan. For the trendiest trends, spend less. For items such as denims, stiletto pumps, or a great pantsuit, invest more.

When deciding on which trends to incorporate, think of two things: what you have in your closet already and what your fashion type is. Stay true to your “look” while pushing yourself out of your comfort zone or rut.

It’s super important to add new trends twice a year. This keeps your image and your wardrobe fresh, modern and moving forward. And in a decade where ‘change’ reigns supreme, changing up your look is just as critical. No one can afford to look passé anymore as we all compete in a global marketplace.

So I’ve decided to make selecting the best trends easier for all women this fall/winter 2012 season. After culling through the top trends, here are the ones that I feel are worth investing in and will have some staying power. Don’t forget to use my “cost per wearing” formula when you shop, to understand the hidden value in every garment you buy. Simply divide the price of the garment by how many times a year you will wear it (x’s how many years you think you’ll use it). The result may surprise you. Oftentimes it’s better to spend on an expensive pair of denims rather than an evening gown, to get the most for your dollars.

James Bond, the epitome of manliness and sexiness. He is also almost every woman’s fantasy. Why? It’s because Daniel Craig as James Bond is rugged and refined…elegant and earthy…sensual and strong. His grooming is beyond impeccable and his suits are exquisitely tailored to his lean muscular body. No wonder women swoon just at the sight of him! Plus he knows how to treat a woman!

Add to that incredible mix, a huge dose of confidence and bravado, and the man becomes totally irresistible!

More American men need to emulate the elegance of James Bond. If they did, they would find their sex lives enhanced and their careers boosted. If anyone wants to doubt me, then try dressing and treating women like Bond and watch what happens.

There is nothing appealing or sexy about a man that is unshaven and unkempt wearing a sloppy old logo t-shirt, baggy shorts and sandals. And I mean NOTHING! Dressing like that robs a man of his power. It makes him look weak and unsuccessful even if he’s not. So why on earth would any man want to diminish his sexual magnetism, personal power and self-respect by dressing like a dweeb? It’s beyond my comprehension.

So listen up guys! If you want to get the babes, you’ve got to put some effort into your image. If you’re married and you want the spark put back into your sex life with your wife, you have got to get back on your image game. Great sex begins with our sense of sight. Men aren’t the only ones who get turned on by what they see. Women are too. Yes, most men are visual and most women are auditory. But we ladies aren’t visually impaired and we LOVE a man who is sharply dressed, well groomed, and smells great.

Guys, when you look that good, it’s half the foreplay! When you look great, a woman can get hot and bothered just by the sight, sound and smell of you. Plus everyone will give you more respect when you give yourself a big dose of it first and that’s a good thing.

My advice? Go buy a slim modern fitted suit. Get a dress shirt that fits you perfectly. Buy a pair of slip-on loafers. Get a modern haircut. Buy underwear that fits your butt right and put on some new socks that come up above your calf muscles. Clean up your fingernails so she’ll want you to touch her everywhere and I mean everywhere! Shave closely. Get a stylish haircut that flatters your face. Invest in new eyeglasses that enhance your face. Buy some fabulous cologne and use it. Landscape your manscape! Don’t be a hairy beast, especially down there where it counts. And pul-eez don’t forget a pedicure! Yes, you heard me right, a pedicure. Dirty long toenails will make the lady want to run away! In other words, put some real thought and effort into your image.

The rewards will be many: Inside the bedroom and into the boardroom. You’ll probably make more money and have a lot more sex. Women will adore you and men will be in awe.

What? You ask if you need to buy a hot racecar to complete the look? Well, it certainly wouldn’t hurt, but let’s begin with some hair gel and an extra shower a day and take it from there.
