ABOUT EVE
“My passion for personal beauty started with my mom…. seeing my mother meant visiting her in the hospital. She now looked plain—not beautiful—and it broke my heart. I wanted my beautiful, healthy mom back.” – Eve Michaels
One look at Eve Michaels and you are acutely aware that she cares about her appearance from the top of her glossy auburn hair to the tip of her elegant patent leather stiletto pumps. She cares so much about appearances that she has made a lifelong career out of helping others improve theirs.
Eve’s introduction to the world of beauty was born out of her early childhood years of tragedy, when her mother suffered permanent brain damage and was institutionalized for life as a result of a car accident. Eve‘s intention to “heal” her mother came in shades of pink and red; the hues of make-up she used to make her mother “feel pretty,” and hopefully come home to stay. Realizing the impact that this had on her life led to a mission to change America’s perception and reflection of beauty, both inwardly and outwardly.
Eve Michaels has spent over thirty years in the business as an internationally acclaimed “Transformational Makeover Expert” and the creator of the Fast Track To Fabulous™ program.
A nationally recognized author and motivational speaker who captivates audiences globally, Eve teaches people life changing, easy-to-follow skills that quickly transform their image and their attitude about dressing well. Eve has an engaging and relatable gift for helping her clients understand what makes them special and how to create the right image that communicates their unique abilities and talents. It is no wonder her work is often called “Makeover Magic!” Her lyrical voice, compelling scenarios, edgy delivery and “walk the walk” style make for an entertaining escape into a new dimension of beauty and inspiration.
“It is my personal goal to ‘Wake Up America’ by bringing back elegance, class and style to this country,” says Eve to her sold out audiences. “Comfort and style are not enemies! We have become ‘too comfortable’ in America with how we look and groom, and this attitude reflects everywhere.”
Eve’s new book, “Dress Code – Ending Fashion Anarchy”, which will be available in bookstores nationwide in Spring 2012, serves as a national wakeup call and is dedicated to the premise that pride and class begins with each and every American. Eve’s goal is to “make over America,” one person at a time. Her desire is to help lift our nation’s morale and help us compete on a global level with more confidence and self-respect.
“We are playing in a global economy, not just imperialists. We need to bring back our class and image. Do we want to look like a nation of slobs or like the world-class leaders that we are?”
EVE’S STORY
I was your everyday frumpy mom, dressed in a baggy, sleeveless dress, driving my son, Mitchell, to school. Mitchell, riding in the passenger seat pointed to my upper arms and asked “Mom, what are those flappies, those things flapping under your arms?”
My heart sank. Darn it I was thin, I thought. Who cared if I was flabby and tired all the time? Lord, who was I kidding? If I couldn’t fool a child, who did I think I was fooling?
Emotionally, I was at a low, feeling like a victim of my childhood and of 2 failed marriages. Physically, years of crazy diets, in addition to high amounts of stress and lack of exercise weakened and aged my body. I existed mostly on caffeine and sweets.
It was time to practice what I’d been teaching and preaching. Yes, even at that point in my life I was already a professional Image Consultant—helping OTHER women be their best, but I clearly wasn’t taking care of me! Physician, heal thyself!
