SHOE IQ: How to Buy High Heels

We love high heels, but they don’t always love us back. But fashion expert, Eve Michaels, says that style and comfort are NOT enemies. Here are her tips for how to buy heels to keep you chic and comfy!

  • The curve of the sole has to match the balls of your feet, where your foot bends.
  • Make sure the weight of your body is thrust back onto your heels and not forward on the ball and toe area.
  • When buying boots or pointed stilettos, buy ½ size larger so your shoes don’t cramp your toes.

Dr. Buttinsky is currently working on her second book, Parenting: Unplugged! The purpose of this book is to get parents to “Unplug” themselves from their phones, Blackberry’s, computers, I-pods, and take time to “tune in” and really listen to their kids! In addition, parents need to encourage their children to “unplug” themselves from technology and get back to basics, such as playing outside, doing arts and crafts, engaging in physical activities, and reading. Technology is a very important part of all our lives, however, it has its place. By providing “unplugged” activities for children, families can share in spending “special time” together that children so sorely need in this fast paced society!

“While the effects of many programs I’ve invested in fade with time, it feels like you’ve sent me on a path that builds momentum as it goes. Thanks for giving me the shove to get going. It seems like there is a positive feed back cycle that spirals upwards with image, when you present yourself refined and cared for, you feel that way, and the evidence to believe you are that way is right in front of you in the mirror and in the eyes and responses of those around you, so you can believe it even more and present yourself even more refined and on and on it builds…”

“Life is good.”

“Thanks for all your energy and love, our lives are richer because of it.”

Namaste, Paul

“Hearing you speak at Harv Eker’s Master of Influence seminar was life changing for me thanks to you and your team.”

“Everytime I receive a compliment, I think of you!”

“Thank you so very much for the gift of teaching women how to look their best! It does impact how you feel about yourself in the world. My business has taken off…”
